Tips for your term paper Be sure to answer each question separately, using separate headings. Each is worth 10 points -- if I can't easily tell what you are answering, your score will suffer! Part I (worth 10 points - allocate about 2 pages - use a separate heading) Part II (question 1) (worth 10 points - allocate about 2 pages - use a separate heading) Part II (question 2) (worth 10 points - allocate about 2 pages - use a separate heading) Whatever you do - explain things using your own sentences. Don't try to rearrange what someone else wrote. Please take this to heart! When bringing in the videos, don't just say "Stevie", or "that part where Stevie acted hit somebody." Describe the exact scene you are referring to. Make sure you look through all the theories -- you need to find those that BEST apply to your article. Once you identify a couple or three theories, don't stop there! Just writing "control theory" or "differential association" isn't enough. Refer to the book and describe the specific concepts within that theory that best fit the article. How many theories do you need? How many videos should you reference? Certainly the number will exceed one. If you correctly cite two or three theories in detail, and scenes in two or three videos, you should be OK. It's not about quantity -- it's about quality: did you pick the most applicable theories? the most applicable videos?
