Oral Presentation
Each student will orally present their term paper. Presentation dates will be assigned when topics are approved.
Oral presentations are worth 10 points - five for note cards that outline the presentation, and five for the presentation itself.
- Bring a neatly prepared set of note cards to help cue you during the presentation. These cards must be shown to claim credit. Note: Do NOT simply read from the cards - no one wants to sit through that.
- Since presentations will usually take place before the papers are done, we are not expecting one-hundred percent coverage. But try to address the key aspects of your paper, in the same sequence. Focus on explaining what the problems supposedly are and how the recommendation seeks to correct them.
- Your maximum time limit is eight minutes. Please rehearse! As long as you are reasonably well prepared, BRING the note cards and do NOT simply read from them you should earn the full ten points.
Making an oral presentation is required to earn a grade higher than "F" on this course.
